B.O. and Panetta — A Pair of Two Faced Lying Rabid Curs

Date: 01 March, 2012

By: Chief

Imageot even 24 hours after a formal dinner in the White House in and to honor those who had served and those currently serving in America's military, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta then dropped a bomb on those same people and every single military retiree — he declared war on "Tricare" — the military health care benefit for both active duty and retired members.

Dig this — at the 'state dinner' B.O. and Panetta were both saying how wonderful our military personnel are (and they are) and the following day they turn around and say 'screw you military people'. Some leadership we have at the top. Scum bags.

This is not a joke quoting the Daily Mail (UK):

"With a formal dinner for the few, President Barack Obama on Wednesday paid solemn tribute to the many.

"The president, who opposed the Iraq war from its outset, thanked those who fought its battles by sitting down to a candlelit meal with a small cross section of the million-plus who served there over the past nine years."

But wait, there's more. Quoting B.O. (his speech at the dinner):

"You are something more: the patriots who served in our name. And after nearly nine years in Iraq, tonight is an opportunity to express our gratitude and to say once more, welcome home."

Really? Gee thank you for wanting to take away my health care benefit which I, and every other service member have earned in spades. You worthless slime (maybe that is why B.O.'s wife looked really pissed at him, hopefully she'll cut him off forever).

Screwing military people

That seems to be the latest fashion. What is in vogue. Something B.O. and Panetta have no problem doing. Screwing the very same people they go crying to whenever something goes wrong. As I wrote in a previous story:

"I was so very wrong. This — is — , without any doubt, the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. Reducing a retirement system and medical benefits for the only group of federal employees to have — EVER — earned them. Our very own:

  • "Soldiers,
  • "Sailors,
  • "Airmen, and;
  • "Marines.

"Yeah, the SSAMs. They are the best that ever was. The best there is. The best that ever will be."

I just didn't go far enough. I didn't include the active duty folks. It is horrifying B.O., Panetta and cohorts are more than willing to slit the throats of military retirees, but to include those who are currently serving — is — well — it is just beyond the pale.

Quoting the Washington Free Beacon:

"Administration officials told Congress that one goal of the increased fees is to force military retirees to reduce their involvement in Tricare and eventually opt out of the program in favor of alternatives established by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.

[. . .]

"Under the new plan, the Pentagon would get the bulk of its savings by targeting under-65 and Medicare-eligible military retirees through a tiered increase in annual Tricare premiums that will be based on yearly retirement pay.

"Significantly, the plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 78 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent - more than 3 times current levels."

So why would B.O., Panetta and the boys try and force us into a state run 'Obamacare' screw job? Other than to:

I don't have a clue. But I sure don't like the idea of getting shuffled from one bureaucratic Juggernaut to another. Besides the several states did not hire me, they did not pay me. So why in the Sam Thump should a state be responsible for my health care which — is — under contract with the federales? It makes no sense whatsoever why B.O., Panetta and cohorts want to dump us. Scurvy bounders.

And what is this "tiered" crap about? How much extra I've got to pay for a benefit. Our copay for medicines was just raised. That just sucks donkey tallywackers a peso a herd.

As the late great entertainer Jimmy Durante used to say "I've got a million of 'em." Well for this story ... so do I. Quoting the Washington Free Beacon:

"The new plan hits active duty personnel by increasing co-payments for pharmaceuticals and eliminating incentives for using generic drugs.

"The changes are worrying some in the Pentagon who fear it will severely impact efforts to recruit and maintain a high-quality all-volunteer military force. Such benefits have been a key tool for recruiting qualified people and keeping them in uniform."

Really Sherlock? I would have never guessed. Sheesh. People are going to flee in droves. I most certainly would. These jerks are attempting an extortion game on us, make no mistake. I just hope it doesn't work.

Once again quoting the Washington Free Beacon:

" 'We all recognize that we are in a time of austerity', this aide said. 'But defense has made up to this point 50 percent of deficit reduction cuts that we agreed to, but is only 20 percent of the budget'.

" 'The administration is asking troops to get by without the equipment and force levels needed for global missions. 'And now they are going to them again and asking them to pay more for their health care when you've held the civilian workforce at DoD and across the federal government virtually harmless in all of these cuts. And it just doesn't seem fair', the second aide said."

What a concept — leave the civilian workforce (DoD) untouched and just hammer the military folks. Hmmm. Can you smell bigotry? How about discrimination? I smell them both as well. Plus the men and women are being tasked to do their job without equipment for the "global missions" they always get tasked with. What kind of nonsense is that? It is nonsense from a Commander in Chief and his Secretary of Defense both of whom have never had to work in a real job. Democratic cry babies. That is all they are and all they ever will be. Oh, I forgot useless. They are both useless as well. The filthy rabid curs.

The generals

You won't believe this. Quoting the Washington Free Beacon:

"Congressional aides said that despite unanimous support among the military chiefs for the current healthcare changes, some senior officials in the Pentagon are opposing the reforms, in particular the tiered system of healthcare."

Did you catch the "despite unanimous support among the military chiefs" part? Yeah, that part. How can that be? Our military chiefs are the senior military officers of each service. A four star general for the Army, Marine Corps and Air Force and a four star Admiral for the Navy. Yet allegedly these same uniformed "leaders" are in favor of this crap? If this is the truth then each and every one of these "leaders" has earned my absolute contempt.

Loyalty is a must in the military. It helps keep you alive in combat. And the service chiefs, if the story is true, just stabbed every active duty, reserve and retiree right smack dab in the back.

Loyalty is also a two way street. If the service chiefs just knifed us — well stand by for heavy rolls boys and girls. Because the troops can knife them right back and one hell of a lot harder.

If the service chiefs and their deputies do not fully and completely oppose this crap they need to resign right now so that people who will oppose these changes can step in and take charge.

We need your help

That is right. We military folks need the help of We the People and we need it desperately. Please help us retain our benefits. Yeah, we cost a bunch. But we are worth it. Just ask the moms and dads who have lost children who served. Or, ask a husband who lost a wife or a wife who lost a husband. That my friends is a much higher price which has been paid.

So please, call and more importantly write your:

Tell them, in no uncertain terms do not touch military:

We earned those benefits. Each and every one of them. Each and every day we served. Period.

Finally, remember people who fought and continue to fight your wars.
